Commemorating the Life and Vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. “One Dream, One Voice, One Nation”
The Montclair Community will celebrate the life and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in a worship service to be held at St. Paul’s Baptist Church, 119 Elm Street, Montclair, NJ on Monday, January 16th, 2012 at 12 noon.

The Montclair Community will celebrate the life and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in a worship service to be held at St. Paul’s Baptist Church, 119 Elm Street, Montclair, NJ on Monday, January 16th, 2012 at 12 noon.

Pastor Elbert L. Maxwell, Civil Rights Activist and former Assistant to Rev. Dr. Ralph Abernathy will be the guest speaker at the Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community celebration. This event will take place at St. Paul Baptist Church, 119 Elm Street, Montclair, NJ on Monday January 16, 2012 at 12 noon. Pastor Maxwell, a resident of Montclair, in addition to service with Dr. Abernathy, was a trained foot-soldier for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., worked with Voter Rights Projects and participated in various desegregation projects in Brunswick, GA during the Civil Rights Movement.

In addition to the speaker, youth from the Montclair community will share selected excerpts from Dr. King’s writings.

This annual event is sponsored by the Montclair African American Clergy Association, the Montclair Clergy Association and the Montclair NAACP.
