Skippy recalls products in New Jersey & 17 states due to steel in peanut butter

Skippy has recalled y peanut butter due to steel being found in jars. The recalls impact New Jersey, New York, and sixteen other states.

About 162,000 jars of the Skippy Peanut include Skippy's reduced-fat chunky peanut butter; reduced-fat creamy peanut butter and creamy peanut butter blended with plant protein. 

Hormel Foods, the parent company for Skippy, said the recall is due to come fragments of steel, from their manufacturing devices, were found in some jars.
