Seton Hall Prep. English teacher, John Pascal will present a lecture about the personal and professional friendship of "the father of the American political cartoon" Thomas Nast and America's master storyteller, humorist and writer Mark Twain on Thursday, September 26 at 6:30 pm in the West Caldwell Public Library, 30 Clinton Road.
A frequent visitor of the Garden State, Mark Twain spent a memorable Thanksgiving evening in Nast's Morristown home in 1884. He asked Nast to illustrate several of his stories. Twain's lecturing presence in the Garden State will also be discussed.
